Rabbi Edward E. Klein, director of the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundation at the University of California, will be called here by the executive council of the Free Synagogue to take charge of the pulpit, of pastoral service and of the Synagogue’s department of education during Dr. Stephen S. Wise’s absence from his post, from which he has withdrawn for the duration, it was announced here today. He will serve with Rabbis S.E. Goldstein and J.X. Cohen.
