A five-day “Emergency Conference to Save the Jews of Europe” will open at the Hotel Commodore here on July 6, under the honorary chairmanship of William Allen White, Bishop Henry St. George Tucker, Herbert Hoover, William Green, Philip Murray, Van Wyck Brooks and others, it was announced today by Gabriel A. Wechsler, executive secretary of the Conference. Mr. Wechsler is national secretary of the Committee for a Jewish Army.
Divided into panels of experts the conclave will delve factually into the various phases of the problem of saving the remaining Jews of Europe from Nazi annihilation.
