A contingent of Jewish troops from Palestine, accompanied by Jewish officers, is reported in the London press today to have arrived recently at Malta. It is estimated that there are 500 Jews in Malta. The Jewish Servicemen’s Club has named all the civilian Jews honorary members.

A report reaching here today from Switzerland says that the notorious Nazi publication Der Stuermer has published a violent attack against the Vatican for allegedly allowing 700 Italian Jews to take refuge in Vatican City in order to evade deportation from the cities where they resided to various places where Jews are forced to work on fortifications under supervision of Nazi military engineers.
