The Rumanian Government today issued an order calling all Jews in the country of the ages of 51 and 52 to register at once for labor service. The Rumanian authorities have also ordered a second census made of Jewish craftsmen.
The Bucharest radio today announced that while the individual sugar ration for the month of September will be 600 grams, Jews of “Rumanian origin” will receive only 100 grams. Other categories of Jews will receive no sugar at all.
The Nazi Balkan newspaper, Donau Zeitung, which reached here today, carries an announcement issued by the Agrarian Ministry in Slovakia stating that the total of Jewish land which passed into “Aryan” hands is 104,000 coastal yokes, of this area 43, 000 yokes of Jewish land have been acquired by “Aryans” as their property. 16, 000 yokes have been leased by the government to ” Aryans” and 45, 000 yokes have been taken away from Jews by the Agrarian Ministry through annulling the contracts under which the Jews leased the land to non-Jews.
