Congressman Rogers Pledges Himself to Fight in Congress for Saving European Jews

Congressman Will Rogers, Jr., addressing a gathering of Jewish women here today, pledged himself to conduct a movement among members of the U.S. Congress to speed the task of rescuing the Jews of Nazi Europe. The Congressman will return to America in the middle of September in time for the re-opening of Congress.

The Inter-Allied Information Office has received information stating that the Nazis are continuing the mass-executions of Jews in occupied Russian territory, killing off now such Jews are were left alive as provisionally useful for Germany’s war machine. The mass-slaughter of Jews is taking place especially in Wohlynia, on the former Polish-Russian frontier district.
