The executive committee of the Jewish National Council of Palestine has sent a memorandum to the Colonial Office protesting the fact that only 26 percent of a proposed $4,000,000 grant for education in Palestine has been allotted to the Jewish educational system, it was learned today.

The Council’s protest asserted that the amount earmarked for the Jewish schools corresponds neither to the needs of the Jewish community nor to the proportion of taxes it pays. Information concerning the grant was obtained early last week, but on Monday of this week the Colonial Office refused either to deny or confirm that such an appropriation had been made.
