American interests are being offered important concessions in Saudi Arabia by King Ibn Saud on condition that they oppose the creation of a Jewish State in Palestine, the London newspaper Reynolds News reported yesterday. The paper added that “there is enough oil in the Dead Sea area in Palestine to disrupt all the plans of the oil companies operating in the Middle East.”

Exploiting the recent visit to Palestine of Ivan Maisky, Soviet Deputy Commissar for Foreign Affairs, the Berlin radio today reported that the Jews in Palestine believe that “after the war, the Soviet Government will most energetically insist on the immediate solution of the Jewish problem.” The same broadcast was also beamed from Berlin to the United States in English.
