Every organized Jewish worker in Britain will contributes a day’s pay to the fund being raised by the Histadruth in Palestine for the relief of Jews in Europe, it was decided last night at a meeting of representatives of 39 labor organizations attending a conference called by the Jewish Labor Committee.
The conference adopted a resolution appealing to Jews throughout the world “to leave no stone unturned to rescue European Jewry,” expressing the hope that the Allied Nations would admit refugees freely, pointing out Palestine’s role in receiving refugees since 1939 and, finally, lauding the Histadruth’s efforts in behalf of the Jews of Europe and the contributions the Palestine Jewish community has made to the war effort.
