The 1943 Phi Epsilen Pi Service award to the American Jew who has contributed most to his people was presented today to Henry Monsky, President of B’nai B’rith, by Maurice Jacobs, grand superior of Phi Epsilon Pi, national Jewish college fraternity, at the Waldorf Astoria.

The national service award committee named Mr. Monsky its choice for Jewish “man of the year” because of his “many years of devoted effort to the people of Israel, and particularly in this past year to your planning and carrying out of the American Jewish Conference,” Mr. Jacobs said in making the presentation.
