Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, has met with Edward R. Stettinius, United States Under-Secretary of State, who has been conferring here with Prime Minister Churchill and Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden. It is assumed that they discussed the question of Palestine. It has been reported unofficially that the Palestine issue was among the matters taken up by Mr. Stettinius during his meetings with Churchill and Eden.

It was also learned today that Moshe Shertok, chief of the Jewish Agency’s political department, will visit Palestine Jewish units in Italy before returning home. Mr. Shertok has been in London in connection with Dr. Weizmann’s negotiations with the British Government on matters affecting the post-war status of Palestine.
