The administrative committee of the World Jewish Congress today condemned the action of “a group of irresponsible adventurers in establishing a so-called ‘Hebrew Committee for National Liberation’ in Washington.” The Congress declared that the Committee has not been vested with any authority, either directly or indirectly, by any responsible Jewish body of Europe or elsewhere.

The resolution was presented to the meeting by Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the administrative committee of the World Jewish Congress, who declared that the activities of the Hebrew Committee “must be condemned as harmful to the Jewish cause, and its claim to represent any responsible body or Jewish opinion, as fraudulent.”
