A call to Jewish organizations in the United States to display “unity of action for the rescue of “European Jewry” was issued here today by Rabbi Eliezer Silver of Cincinnati, national president of the Agudes Israel Organization of America, addressing the fifth enamel convention of the organization, which is being attended by 500 delegates from all parts of the country.
Rabbi Silver sharply attacked the Reform rabbinate, charging then with “imposing their leadership on Jewish organizations.” Other speakers included Jacob Rosenheim, president of the World Agudas Israel Organization, Dr. Isaac Lewin and Rabbi Hiam Meyer Block of Cleveland.
