Thirty-five percent of Jewish-owned property in northern Italy has already been confiscated by the Nazi-controlled Mussolini puppet government, the Nazi Transocean news service reports today.
The dispatch says that 70 farms, belonging to Jews, with a total area of 75,000 acres, have also been seized. Joint stock companies have been instructed to report the names of Jewish stock-holders prior to June 30, preparatory to confiscation of their stock. In Milan and Turin, Transocean discloses, Jewish real estate has been expropriated, and in the province of Modena Jewish apartments are being taken over to house refugees.
