Jewish Leaders in England Confer with Foreign Office on Rescue Measures

A delegation of leaders of organizations interested in the rescue of Jews from occupied Europe visited the Foreign Office last week and conferred with Under-secretary George Hall on various means of expediting the reception and the transfer of refugees from enemy-held territory, it was reported in the press here today.

On the fifth anniversary of the introduction of the Nuremberg Laws in the Czech Protectorate, the Czechoslovakian Government issued a statement here today declaring that “the introduction of these laws was intended not merely as blow against Jews, but as step towards the economic subjugation of the country and moral oppression of the Czech People.”
