Stettinius Urges Students to Practice Tolerance; Emphasizes Racial Unity

Graduates of Rutgers University were told today by Under-Secretary of State Edward Stettinius, Jr., principal speaker at commencement exercises, that they must learn “quickly and effectively” to work with their fellow men “in a spirit of tolerance, understanding, and good will.” He stressed that “men of different nationalities, race, color and creed are fighting side by side today.”
