Jewish Women Ask More “free Ports” in United States

A plea for immediate extension of the “free port” plan for European refugees was presented today in letters sent to President Roosevelt and Secretary of State Cordell Hull by the National Council of Jewish Women. The letters also expressed the council’s gratification at the establishment of the Fort Ontario Emergency Refugee Shelter, near Oswego, New York.
