An authoritative source today revealed that the War Refugee Board is in consultation with the British Government on Admiral Horthy’s proposal to permit the evacuation of Jews from Hungary. “It would be an exaggeration to give the impression that all the Jews of Hungary could be evacuated,” this source warned.
