Responding to the statement of Regent Horthy that Hungary is willing to release Jewish children under ten years of age if certificates for emigration to other countries are available, the National Board of Hadassah today cabled $100,000 to Henrietta Szold, chairman of Youth Aliyah in Jerusalem, to be held in escrow, pending the arrival in Palestine of the first group of Hungarian children.

During the present calendar year, Hadassah has sent $952,650 to the Youth Aliyah committee in Jerusalem which in addition receives money from Jewish groups in all the free countries of the world. The $100,000 just sent is in addition to these funds.
