A group of 1,600 Jews who succeeded in escaping from the Nazis and are now kiding in Yugoslavia, are in dire need of assistance, the Yugoslav Red Cross informed the authorities here today.
The majority are believed to be Yugoslavs, with a smaller number Hungarian and Rumanian Jewish refugees. Relief officials are seeking further information on the possibilities of aiding and rescuing them.
