American Zionists Cable Thanks to Churchill for Aiding Formation of Jewish Brigade

A message of thanks in behalf of the Zionists of American was cabled today to prime Minister Churchill by the Zionist Emergency Council for his statement in the House of Commons yesterday on the formation of the Jewish brigade group.

The message, signed by Dr. Abba Hillel Silver and Dr. Stepen S. Wise, thanked Mr. Churchill for his “personal share” in the decision to establish a Jewish brigade and expressed appreciation for his references “to the sufferings of European Jewry and to the moral justification for granting representation to a distinctive Jewish formations which will participate in the final overthrow of the Nazis.”
