Cheers for Queen Wilhelmina were followed by cheers for the Jews, when the rejoining citizens of the Dutch town of Tilburg gathered in their market place to hail their liberation, it is reported here. Shouts of “Long Live the Queen” were inter-mingled with cries of “Long Live the Jews.”

The first free Jewish religious services to be held in Tilburg since 1940 will take place tomorrow, when Sabbath services are conducted in the pillaged synagogue.
