Jewish leaders in Australia today indicated that there is no prospect that the government will reconsider its rejection of the scheme to establish a Jewish settlement in Kimberly.
The Executive Council of Australian Jews, therefore, decided to submit to the government a memorandum asking for ordinary immigration of Jews along the same lines as the immigration of other people from European countries. The memorandum will emphasize the fact that Australia has benefitted from past immigration and that future Jewish immigrants will produce satisfactory citizens.
