Sir Edward Grigg, new British Minister for the Middle East, who succeeds Lord Moyne, assassinated last November by Jewish terrorists, told his first press conference today that the activities of Palestine terrorists endanger the future of the Zionist movement.

“It is generally regarded that the Palestine question is an issue in which only Jews and Arabs are involved, but it is worth remembering that there are also Christian interests in Palestine,” he said. “The Christian world could not be reconciled to the establishment of Nazi gangsterism in Palestine.”

Asked whether the fact that he abstained from voting for the White Paper could be interpreted as meaning that he is still hostile to this document, the Minister confined himself to referring to Churchill’s statement of November 17, in which the Prime Minister said that the Palestine problem will be considered in the light of future developments.
