Argentine Jewry Urged to Intensify Efforts on Behalf of Jewish War Victims in Europe

Intens ification of efforts on behalf of Jewish war victims was urged here today at the annual meeting of the DAIA, central organization of Argentine Jewry, attended by more than 100 delegates representing fifty affiliated organizations and seven branches of the DAIA outside of Buenos Aires.

Dr. Moises Goldman, who was re-elected president of the DAIA for a two-year term, reported on the organization’s recent activities in connection with anti-Semitic agitation here, the prohibition of ritual slaughtering and the question of religious instruction in the public schools. Dr. Goldman reported that the DAIA has made contact with non-Jews for joint action to derend Jewish rights.
