The Canadian Jewish Congress announced today that it is sending a four-man delegation to San Francisco which will be pledged to no one fuction in Jewish life, but will endeavor to cooperate with all.
The announcement said that the delegation-consisting of Samuel Bronfman, national president, Archibald R. Bennet, President of the Congress” central division, Samuel J. Zacks, honorary president, and Saul Hayes, executive director-will seek to protect the interests of the Jewish people everywhere and will speak for a unanimous Canadian Jewish community.
The program for which the Canadian delegation will press includes the following demands: safeguarding of Jewish rights and civil status everywhere by the inclusion in an international bill of rights of measures to ensure the rights of Jews, establishment of a Jewish Commonwealth in Palestine, Punishment of war criminals, restitution for confiscated Jewish property and the abelition of statelessness.
