The National Liberation Committee’s commissioner here announced today that, in view of the fact that most of the members of the Milan Jewish community council are missing, Reffacle Cantone has been named special commissioner to conduct, temporarily, the affairs of the Milan Jewish community, which is unable to fanction without assistance.
John Amery, son of the British Secretary of State for India and notorious radio traitor and anti-Semite, interviewed by a Jewish Telegraphic Agency correspondent today, explained his support of the Gemans by declaring that the Jews and the Russians are worse than the Germans.
When the correspondent recounted to Amery some of the details of the atrocities committed at the Buchenwald concentration camp, the Nazi broadcaster said, “But they must have been inferior people, like Jews and Poles; the Germans wouldn’t do things like that to Americans and Britons.”
