More than 5,000 clergymen have responded to a call by the American Christian Palestine Committee to include in their churches special commemorative services and prayers on Memorial Sunday, May 27th, in behalf of the surviving Jews of Europe and the urgent need for opening the doors of Palestine to unrestricted Jewish immigration, Senator Robert F. Wagner, chairman of the American Palestine Committee, and Dr. Henry A. Atkinson, chairman of the Christian Council on Palestine, announced today.
