Brazillian Government Repeals War-time Ban on Immigration, Quota System in Force

Repeal of all war-time bans on immigration was announced yesterday by the Brazilian Government. As a result, the immigration law of April, 1941, becomes effective, allowing immigration on a two percent quota, as well as the issuance of temporary visas.
