The Hatzofeh, Orthodox daily newspaper, today carries an article complaining that the Palestine Government has refused to allow Jewish youths employed in government -owned railway workshops to take Saturday off. The paper points out that this is contrary to the provisions of the Palestine mandate which stipulate that persons employed by the Palestine Government are to be granted an appropriate rest-day and which prohibit dismissal of state employees for observance of their religious holidays.
