War Department and Eisenhower Voice Sympathy for Sufferings of Jews Under Nazis

The War Department’s and General Eisenhower’s appreciation of and great sympathy with the sufferings of the Jewish people under German tyranny,” were expressed today by the headquarters of the United Kingdom base of the U.S. Army.

Its statement was contained in a message voicing its hope for the success of a concert given tonight at Albert Hall by Yehudi Menuhin, noted Jewish violinist, for the benefit of the Jews of Europe, under the auspices of the World Jewish Congress.
