The Hebrew University today reported that its laboratories will produce penicillin for external use, under the supevision of Dr. Baruch Levin, son of the late Zionist leader Shmarya Levin. Penicillin for internal use will not be produced by the Hebrew University laboratories because such production requires the establishment of a special very, costly plant.

A group of fifty-three Jewish youths who were released from internment at the island of St, Mauritius because they volunteered to join the Jewish Brigade today concluded their training in Egypt and were permitted to spend several days in Palestine. They will leave soon for Germany to serve in the units of the Jewish Brigade which are a part of the British occupational forces.

A new settlement was launched today by the Sephardic Jewish Community with funds received from Sephardic Jews in Argentine.
