U.S. Military Authorities Repatriate 25,000 Transylvanian Jews Deported to Germany

Twenty-five thousand Jews who were deported to Germany and Austria from the part of Transylvania held during the war by Hungary are being repatriated by American military autherities to Budapest, from where they will be transported to their home towns, which are now a part of Rumania, it was announced here today.

The Rumanian Government is sending special trains to Budapest to bring home these repatriates, the announcement said. The Joint Distribution Committee will provide food and medicaments for them and will take care of their other needs.
