The national Zionist emergency conference held in Washington yesterday adopted a resolution condemning the policy of the British Government in excluding the homeless Jews of Europe from Palestine, the continued application of the White Paper, and “its repudiation of solemn pledges to the Jewish people.”

The resolution, which was read to the overflow mass meeting which concluded the conference, applauded President Truman for his action in urging immediate admission by the British Government of 100,000 displaced Jews to Palestine. It urged him to stand firmly and to insist upon this emergency measure as a first step in the solution of the problem of Jewish homelessness.

The resolution warned the British that they are sacrificing American friendship and good will, and called upon “all men of good will, Ghristian and Jew alike, to give full and articulate support” to President Truman.
