Over 20,000 Jews gathered today in Luna Park, the city’s largest open-air auditorium, to demand the opening of Palestine to European Jews. Speakers expressed appreciation of President Truman’s intervention with the British, and said that South American Jews were solidly behind Jewish demands for Palestine. The speckers were frequently interrupted by shouts of “Long Live Truman, Down With British Imperialism.”
