British Government Asked to Avert Pogroms Against Jews in Middle East

Expressing the horror of the Jewish people at the pogrom in Tripoli, Libya, and charging “pro-Axis Arab war criminals” with the guilt of “conspiracy to renew the political pogroms established under Axis inspiration,” the world Jewish Congress instructed its London office to ask the British Government to take appropriate diplomatic and other measures in all Middle Eastern capitals to avert repostition of the Egyptian and Libyan tragedies.”
