The Dominican Republic, where several thousand Jewish refugees have been living since 1940 in the colony of Sosua, is ready to admit additional Jewish immigrants, according to an announcement released here yesterday by the Dominican embassy.

It pointed out that chactic conditions existing in some European countries have brought hardship and danger to thousands of Jews, and that the Dominican Republic was willing to offer a haven to those endangered for racial or religious reason.
