The British and French Governments have signed an agreement to help one another on all questions affecting the Middle East, including Egypt. Palestine, Transjordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, it was reported here today.

The main portion of the agreement deals with settlement of Anglo-French differences in Syria and Lebanon, and provides for the simultaneous evacuation of Syria by British and French troops. The British troops will regroup in Palestine, which has become the center of British military might in the Middle East.
