A special overseas edition of “The Day,” local Yiddish daily, has been published, containing the names of over 1,200 individuals and organizations, mostly in the United States and Canada, who are looking for relatives a broad, as well as the names of these being sought. Ten thousand copies of the edition are being sent to Jews in displaced persons camps in Germany, and to Jewish communities in Eastern Europe and other parts of the world where there are surviving Jewish communities or refuses groups.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
