A demonstration against fascism and racist terrorism was held at the funeral of Bluma Wein, 20-year-old Jewish girl, murdered by terrorists in the town of Zabrze, in Upper Silesia.
The town council in a special session adopted a resolution condemning “the disgraceful murder of a young Polish citizen of Jewish nationality by fascist bandits” who commit similar murder against Government officials and democratic party leaders. Funeral services coincided with the first anniversary of the liberation of the town from the Nazis.
The murder of Mrs. Wein, who had survived imprisonment at Oswiecim, and was in a training group preparing for emigration to Palestine at the time of her death, has aroused the entire population of Zabrze. Representatives of all political parties, Jewish groups and trade unions attended the burial services and promised” not to rest until the bandits were arrested and punished.”
