A Hias branch has been opened here to assist the migration and repatriation of Bulgarian Jews, and to help in the search for lost relatives as well as the distribution of food and clothing parcels form relatives abroad. In executive committee of seven Jewish leaders, headed by Chief Rabbi Daniel Zion, has been established. Other members include representatives of B’nai B’rith, the Zionists, and the Communist and Social Democratic parties.
