A student meeting at the Bucharest University, held in the presence of Prof. Fortino, dean of the law faculty, and Prof. Strat of the same faculty, was converted into an anti-Semitic demonstration yesterday.
Prof. Fortino and Prof. Strat are leaders of the National Liberal Party of which Dinu Bratianu is the head. Anti-Jewish speeches were delivered at the meeting by students, while the faculty members made no attempt to check them. The entire atmosphere of the meeting was reminiscent of the pre-liberation days, when the country was ruled by the anti-Semitic and pro-Nazi Antonescu government.
