Dr. Joseph Schwartz, European director of the Joint Distribution Committee, arrived here today to confer with leaders of the South African Jewish War Relief. In a statement to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency he said that 1946 would be a crucial year for European Jewry, and expressed the hope that South African Jews would redouble their contributions.
