On the first anniversary of the liberation of this area by the Americans, the Jewish community council here and in Frankfurt held a joint celebration last night at the local synagogue, which was only recently completed.
The principal speaker was Rabbi Leopold Neuhaus, who warned the Germans against following another Hitler. Other speakers included Hans Venadey, Minister of Interior in the Greater Hesse provincial government and Minister of Labor Oskar Muller. Both spoke of the debt owed by Germany to the Jews and pledged that every effort will be made to aid the Jews.
