The Palestine Arab Higher Committee today announced that it has sent cables to President Truman, Prime Minister Attlee and Marshal Stalin, describing the report of the Anglo-American inquiry committee as “an absolute and a complete repudiation of all principles of freedom of self-determination and democracy.

“The recommendations of the inquiry committee will enable the Jews of the world to invade our country under the protection of the armed forces of Britain and America,” the cable continued. “The Arabs will oppose enforcement of the recommendations to the last man. This policy will endanger peace in the Middle East and the world.”

Jemal Husseini, chairman of the Palestine Arab Higher Committee, addressing more than 6,000 Arabs at Jaffa today, called for Arab solidarity in the fight against the admission of 100,000 Jews and urged “complete boycott of everything Jewish.” Police stood by in Jaffa from dawn, but after listening to Husseini’s speech near the Grand Mosque, the crowd dispersed quietly.
