Colony Named in Honor of State of Massachusetts Inaugurated in Palestine

The colony of Nachlat Massachusetts, named in honor of the State of Massachusetts, was formally inaugurated today. A document recording the redemption of 1,500 across of land, on which the colony will be built, was presented to Fred Monson of Boston who headed the drive for funds for the settlement which were raised by the New England JNF. The presentation was made at the Ain Harod colony which Monson and 14 other American businessmen visited on their tour of Palestine.
