The Zionist Organization of America today announced that it has officially invited the World Zionist Congress to meet in the United States instead of Palestine. A meeting on Friday of the National Zionist Administrative Council, which is the ruling body of the ZOA between conventions, decided to extend the invitation.
The Administrative Council nominated a list of 200 American Zionist leaders as its candidates for election as delegates to the congress. The list is headed by Dr. Abba Hillel Silver and Dr. Stephen S. Wise. The elections will take place in large communities on June 16 and 17, and in other parts of the country on June 16 only.
