Negotiations are now in progress between the Jewish Agency and a group of American financiers for a loan to finance the absorption of the 100,000 Jews whose immigration from Europe to Palestine was recommended by the Anglo-American inquiry committee and also to carry out large-scale economic developments in Palestine, it was reported here today.
It was also reported by reliable courses that the Agency is completing arrangements to purchase an American military camp in the Near East and will transfer all its buildings and equipment to Palestine to house the expected immigrants. Six reception camps will be erected at various points throughout the country during the next few weeks.
The delegation of 17 U.S businessman which has been touring Palestine for the past three weeks to study the economic and industrial situation is returning to the United States tomorrow with a plan for the establishment of an investment corporation in the U.S. to achieve closer economic ties with Palestine. The company will be capitalized at $25,000,000.
