The Swiss secret police last night arrested Edouard Brulhart, a 63-year-old retired official, on charges of being the author of anonymous threatening letters sent to Jews throughout Switzerland. They described him as a “madman”

The police yesterday sent telegrams to all persons who had received the letters, a list of which was discovered in Brulhart’s home, warning them that a white powder enclosed with the letters was poisonous.
