King Christian X of Denmark has awarded a Medal of the Order of Merit to Dr. Samuel Margoshes, columnist of the Jewish “Day” and World Jewish Congress leader, it was announced today. In his letter transmitting the Medal, Danish Consul General Hans H. Schroeder wrote that the Order was awarded in recognition “of services rendered Denmark during the darkest days of the war.”
