The French Government has promised to issue 7,000 transit visas for Polish Jews, 2,000 of them for children, Dr. Joseph Tenenbaum, president of the American Federation for Polish Jews announced. today.
The Jews who are to receive the visas are part of a group of 50,000 Polish Jews who had been promised permission to enter France, Dr. Tenenbaum said.
